It is extremely satisfying when the people you helped purchase their first home contact you to help them sell that house and then purchase their next home. That is exactly what happened with Tommy & Kelsey.
I met Tommy and Kelsey through mutual friends when they were first-time home shoppers. They shared that their experience up to that point had not been positive and asked if I could help. It is important to me for all of my clients to have full information on the process, whether buying or selling a house, so we met, talked and made a plan that worked best for their goals before moving forward. Once that was in place it took no time for us to find and for them to purchase this cute-as-a-button starter home.
The house needed a good bit of love and personality added but Tommy and Kelsey were up to the challenge. After several years of living in and loving on this house, they were ready to pass it along to new owners. I brought in Julie Petrich to help with staging. It is always amazing to me, and my clients, how she can adjust the placement of items the homeowners already have and create a whole new look that is ideal for photography and is also appealing to buyers. Cat Wilborne, my professional photographer, worked her magic, I wrote content focused on appealing to the new owners and this adorable home went on the market well prepared. With over 30 showings the first day and multiple offers by that evening, all of the work Tommy and Kelsey had put into that house over the years was well rewarded.
My takeaways from this transaction are 1) I find it a true compliment when clients and friends refer my services and when past clients ask me to help them again, 2) I LOVE working with first-time home buyers, 3) having a system in place for properties that receive a high level of showings and multiple offers is key to supporting my clients.
