October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I am grateful to be called a Breast Cancer Survivor.

Outside of skin cancers, Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women.
The average risk of a woman in the United States developing breast cancer sometime in her life is about 13% – a 1 in 8 chance.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women. Only lung cancer kills more women each year.
Each year, about 43,600 women will die from breast cancer.
There are currently more than 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States…and I am one of them.If you have not been screened for breast cancer, don’t put it off. Now is a GREAT time to talk with your health care provider about your risk for breast cancer and the best screening plan for you.
